UVA Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic 2 (EMG) Technologist to perform nerve conduction studies and assist with EMG and neuromuscular ultrasound in an outpatient setting with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Care for both adult and pediatric patients; collaborate with physicians and neurology teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal medical education program such as CVT, EMT, Paramedic, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Sonography, or an Associate’s Degree or greater in Health Sciences.
• Radiography Technician preferred.

Responsabilités

• Independently perform nerve conduction studies on adult and pediatric patients.
• Assist on electromyography (EMG) and neuromuscular ultrasound procedures.
• Prepare patients for testing, explain procedures, and promote a positive experience.
