Job summary

UVA Health, part of The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia, is seeking a Neurodiagnostic professional to support EMG services in an outpatient setting. You will interact with patients, providers, fellows, and care teams to ensure a seamless experience and help diagnose complex neurological disorders.

You will gain exposure to nerve conduction studies, EMG workflows, and neuromuscular diagnostics across adult and pediatric populations, with mentorship and opportunities for specialty

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or graduation from a relevant Allied Health program; Bachelor's preferred.
• 2 years' experience in patient environment preferred, pediatric experience preferred.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nerve conduction studies for adult and pediatric patients.
• Assist providers during EMG and neuromuscular ultrasound procedures.
• Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures clearly and compassionately.
• Review orders and ensure accurate patient documentation.
• Maintain exam rooms, laboratory equipment, and clinical supplies.
• Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
• Assist with billing, order management, and administrative processes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and help maintain operational readiness.
• Support compliance with safety, accreditation, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
