Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build a platform for network tooling that supports edge, backbone, and data center operations for Crusoe Cloud. You will work on systems that manage network state, provisioning, configuration, and APIs used across teams.

The ideal candidate is a distributed systems engineer who can scale control planes, mentor peers, and guide decisions on in-house versus open-source solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Python.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts: consensus, state reconciliation, fault tolerance.
• Track record designing scalable APIs/services used by multiple teams.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop network state management systems for Crusoe Cloud.
• Scale control plane systems to meet growing network scale and complexity.
• Mentor engineers and participate in code reviews to maintain quality.
• Partner with product to decide build vs. buy for control plane software.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to align with growth.
