Job summary

Destination Enterprises is contracted by LACCD to support the BuildLACCD PMO IT network administration across multiple campus sites in Los Angeles. The role involves configuring and maintaining network devices, servers, and security infrastructure to ensure reliable services for the district.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, strong Windows server and AD/Entra ID knowledge, plus hands-on VPN, firewall, and security tooling expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of applicable systems and network administration experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field; additional qualifying experience may substitute education.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with detail orientation.
• Strong collaborative and team skills with ability to present ideas clearly.
• Solid knowledge of Windows servers and common internet protocols (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Experience with AD, Entra ID, Office 365, and SharePoint management.
• Experience with VPN appliances and Cisco Meraki devices.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools (CrowdStrike, Nessus, Splunk) and network security (VPNs, ACLs, IPsec).
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience; ability to automate admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and support physical and virtual network environments.
• Test, install, and maintain operating systems and network devices.
• Ensure system uptime and coordinate with IT teams.
• Oversee administration of systems and servers to ensure service availability.
• Install, configure, and upgrade network software and devices.
• Monitor and fix network and system issues for performance.
• Lead projects delivering services per objectives.
• Manage firewalls, Wi‑Fi APs, switches, and other devices.
• Respond to staff inquiries and vendor support timely.
