Job summary

ExtraHop Networks, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III to drive architectural decisions and lead complex engineering initiatives across the Framework team.

You will partner with principal engineers, product leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver resilient, scalable systems powering our core products. The role focuses on high-performance C and C++ services, performance optimization, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience developing on Linux systems (multithreading, memory management, IPC).
• Scripting experience with Python (or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in STEM field, Computer Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate high-performance services for ExtraHop’s Framework systems, taking ownership of moderately to complex features.
• Lead architectural decisions and complex engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with principal engineers, product leaders, and cross-functional teams to balance technical debt with delivery.
• Participate in agile processes, code reviews, and on-call rotations; ensure observability and reliability.
