Iridium is seeking a Network Systems Administrator to join Aireon’s Network Engineering team. You will design, deploy, and harden on‑premises infrastructure supporting Aireon’s data distribution to customers, with strong emphasis on security controls and automation.

The role requires 5+ years of Linux/Windows administration in a security-conscious environment, AD/LDAP authentication, and hands‑on OS hardening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT.
• 5+ years of professional Linux and Windows systems administration.
• Experience with OS hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with AD/LDAP and centralized authentication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain on-premises networks and data distribution.
• Install, configure, harden, and patch Linux and Windows systems.
• Implement automation with Ansible and/or Puppet.
• Administer centralized authentication (AD/LDAP) and resolve issues.
• Provide Tier II/III incident support for security incidents.
• Maintain monitoring, backups, DR readiness, and patch compliance.
• Analyze performance data to ensure capacity and resilience.
