Iridium Satellite LLC is seeking an experienced Network Systems Administrator to join Aireon’s Network Engineering team. You will design, deploy, and Harden on‑premises networks, implement automation, and manage centralized authentication to support secure data delivery to customers.

The role emphasizes patch lifecycle management, security controls, and cross‑team collaboration in a hybrid work setting. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with 5+ years in Linux/Windows

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional systems administration in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience in OS hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation and security controls.
• Strong knowledge of AD/LDAP and centralized authentication.
• Excellent communication and ownership in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infra for Aireon's on‑premises networks and customer data.
• Install, configure, harden, and patch Linux and Windows systems per security controls.
• Automate sysadmin tasks using Ansible and/or Puppet for consistency and auditability.
• Administer centralized auth (AD/LDAP) and resolve auth incidents and change requests.
• Provide Tier II/III support for security incidents; coordinate with vendors and teams.
• Monitor resources and security posture; manage backups, DR readiness, and patch compliance.
• Analyze performance data to ensure capacity, resilience, and reliability.
