My client is the leading DoD contractor that specializes in technology advisory and execution partner to mission critical government agencies—including the defense, federal and state agencies is currently looking for a Sr Systems/Network Engineer to do a contract to hire (C2H) after 6 months.

The Systems Engineer will be part of the Professional Services Engineering Team, reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Engineer. The position will be responsible for working engineering tasks related to customer projects.

The candidate must have a working knowledge of Oracle Linux and Windows Server administration, network services, Oracle virtualization, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience. The candidate will assume primary responsibility for many of the maintenance tasks in my client’s-hosted development environment. The candidate will also support a customer project hosted in OCI.

Responsibilities:

• Oracle Linux and MS Windows Server virtual server builds, hardening, patching, and maintenance
• Network Service management: DNS, Active Directory, NFS, sssd, syslog, YUM
• Oracle Virtualization and OLVM maintenance
• Storage appliance maintenance and monitoring
• OCI enterprise design and implementation: virtual machines, storage (block volume, file storage, object storage)

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelors degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
• Five plus years proven experience as a lead systems engineer
• Security+ or equivalent certification
• Operating Systems or Networking Certifications a plus
