Job summary

Leidos’ Digital Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for a Senior Network Software Engineer located in the Scott AFB, IL area.

The Senior Network Software Engineer will support the development and release of new software tools using the Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) platform, Python, and other software languages to sustain and manage a Carrier-class Wide Area Network for the Defense Information Systems Agency under the Department of War.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• DoD 8750 IAT II or Security+ CE equivalent.
• Python development with REST API and JSON handling.
• Git/Bitbucket version control.
• Linux development environment.
• IP networking with BGP/ISIS/OSPF/Static routing.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper IP networks.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of Software Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test and release Python/XML software for NSO platform.
• Integrate software with Cisco ASR9K and Juniper MX routers.
• Perform WAN design, deployment, and sustainment tasks.
• Plan and perform analytical research aligned with customer specs.
• Ensure efficient, repeatable contract delivery.
• Mitigate risks and manage large-scale projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as technical resource.
• Communicate and collaborate with team to achieve objectives.
