Job summary

Leidos' GSMO-II contract is seeking a Senior Network Software Engineer in the Scott AFB, IL area. You will design and release software for the Cisco NSO platform using Python and other languages, integrating with Cisco/Juniper routers.

You will sustain and manage a Carrier-class WAN for the Defense Information Systems Agency in a fast-paced, technically challenging setting. The role offers opportunities to grow in software development, SDN concepts, and network engineering within a DoD context,

Qualifications

• Requires active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or MS with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience developing software on a Linux platform.
• Experience with Python and REST API development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test and release software for NSO platform.
• Integrate software with Cisco/Juniper network devices.
• Perform design, implementation, and sustainment of wide area network changes.
• Plan analytical research and system development aligned with customer specs.
• Mentor lower-level engineers and provide technical leadership.
