Job summary

ORNL Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the management and security of the credit union's network. You will oversee performance metrics, plan implementations, and ensure data confidentiality and integrity across systems.

You will design policies, coordinate with IT security and vendors, assess risks, and drive network modernization while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, security engineering or similar.
• One or more current network certifications required.
• 10+ years IT networking experience in mid to large environments.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize network engineering work to align with goals.
• Coordinate system changes, expansions and upgrades across hardware/software.
• Ensure network devices operate effectively and security is maintained.
• Develop and implement network policies and strategy based on risk.
• Manage security breaches with IT security team and coordinate with vendors.
• Oversee IT compliance and life cycle considerations for networks.
• Provide input for annual budget related to network resources.
• Cover network admin duties when needed.
