Job summary

Wescom Central Credit Union is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to design and implement networks, security and telecommunications systems. You will guide staff, analyze systems, and deploy updates to support member services and internal operations.

The role requires deep knowledge of routing, firewalls, VPNs and security protocols, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and lead initiatives across IT teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree and 6–8 years in network, security, telecom or IT systems development.
• Experience with complex networking and security systems; CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; able to lead and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop networking, security and telecommunications systems; determine system design and performance.
• Respond to production problems for supported systems and applications.
• Conduct system analysis and configuration with limited consultant support to keep systems current.
• Supervise deployment of network and telecommunications systems to support information processing.
• Document deployment configurations and changes for traceability.
• Provide guidance and support to testers and senior staff; interact with management on strategic decisions.
