Job summary

Lennox International in Richardson, TX seeks a Network Security Analyst to act as the first escalation point for firewall access requests, VPN issues, and security incidents. You design, implement, and test firewall changes, monitor policies, and coordinate with IT teams on outages and connectivity.

The role requires hands-on Palo Alto NextGen expertise, Windows and Linux familiarity, and the ability to work within change-control processes.

Qualifications

• 5 Years of relevant experience with 2-3 years of experience managing and configuring Palo Alto NextGen Firewalls.
• 3 years of experience working with Windows operating systems
• One or more certifications from list
• 1-2 years of experience using ssh connectivity tools such as Putty
• Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with Change Control processes
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• Team player and flexible to after-hours support
• Office presence 5 days a week
• Willingness to learn new technologies in IT Security space

Responsibilities

• Design and implement approved firewall changes per guidelines.
• Perform operational checks of firewalls for optimal operation.
• Review firewall policies to remove unused or outdated rules.
• Assist IT teams with network connectivity issues.
• Attend KT troubleshooting and change control meetings.
• Initiate RMA of faulty firewall equipment.
• Collaborate with security engineering to mitigate gaps.
• Assist with firewall updates and OS upgrades.
• Troubleshoot client VPN connectivity issues.
• Prepare escalations for higher-level issues.
