Job summary

Valar Atomics seeks a hands-on Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network security. You will focus on Palo Alto firewall administration, GlobalProtect VPN, and cloud connectivity to Azure and AWS, with rigorous 802.1X/TLS-based authentication for IoT devices.

This on-site role is based in Torrance, CA, with relocation not provided. You will drive secure networking across on-prem, wireless, and wired segments and mentor on security best practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (policy creation, NAT, routing, troubleshooting).
• Experience configuring and supporting GlobalProtect VPN.
• Experience building site-to-site VPN tunnels with Azure and AWS.
• Knowledge of 802.1X authentication and certificate-based access.
• Experience with Ruckus switch configuration and routing.
• Strong enterprise routing knowledge and troubleshooting across layers.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewall security policies, NAT, and threat profiles.
• Design and implement Palo Alto firewall routing and VPN connectivity.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize firewall and VPN performance.
• Manage site-to-site VPNs to Azure and AWS environments.
• Support certificate-based authentication and IoT device onboarding.
