Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a hands-on Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network security. The role centers on Palo Alto firewall administration, GlobalProtect VPN, and hybrid cloud connectivity (Azure/AWS).

This on-site position in Torrance, CA includes relocation assistance not available. Ideal candidates bring deep firewall and routing expertise, certificate-based authentication for IoT devices, and experience securing cameras and endpoints.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (policy, NAT, routing)
• Experience configuring GlobalProtect VPN for secure remote access
• Site-to-site VPNs with Azure and AWS
• 802.1X network access and certificate-based auth
• Ruckus switch configuration and routing
• Strong firewall, VPN, and switching troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Prisma Access/Prisma Cloud is a plus

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT, routing
• Design and implement Palo Alto routing and VPNs
• Monitor and optimize firewall performance and rules
• Manage GlobalProtect VPN and site-to-site tunnels to Azure/AWS
• Implement TLS-based 802.1X authentication for IoT devices
• Maintain and secure wired/wireless network access control
