GDIT is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer in Ashburn, VA to lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise network security infrastructure. You will oversee firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and NAC technologies while guiding investigations of complex threats and shaping security policies across the organization.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of security frameworks, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and influence

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on network or security engineering experience.
• Experience with enterprise-grade firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and NAC tools.
• Detailed understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security best practices.
• Experience monitoring network security events, investigating incidents, and implementing security enhancements.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, engineering, and lifecycle management of enterprise network security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, NAC).
• Provide expert analysis of network security architectures and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Monitor complex network security events and guide investigations of advanced threats.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures for compliance.
