Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Network Security Engineer Senior to support CBP Cyber Security Directorate in protecting federal networks.

You will lead design, engineering, and lifecycle management of enterprise security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and NAC. You will analyze architectures, develop mitigations, monitor events, guide investigations, and enforce policies to meet NIST/CIS standards.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of hands-on network or security engineering experience.
• Experience with enterprise-grade firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and NAC.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and lifecycle management of enterprise network security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN solutions, and NAC technologies.
• Provide expert analysis of network security architectures, identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and interpret complex network security events, guide investigations of advanced threats, and direct response and containment activities as needed.
• Develop, review, and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures to meet compliance obligations.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to promote professional growth and engineering excellence.
