Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an experienced Network Engineer in the United States to optimize performance, capture data, and drive architecture decisions across complex DoD networks.

You will design, deploy, and maintain diverse network devices, ensuring secure connectivity and compliant accreditations while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating large installation projects.

Qualifications

• Ten years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT II baseline certification required.
• Cisco certification required.

Responsibilities

• Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
• Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information.
• Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and monitoring tools.
• Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
• Design, integrate, configure, deploy, test and maintain network devices and methodologies.
• Configure and optimize the network to connect front-end and back-end components.
• Gather data to specify system performance and interface requirements.
• Implement network solutions to support server requirements including VPNs, firewalls, NAT, VoIP and IPsec.
• Maintain network diagrams and accreditations; oversee network equipment support.
• Develop designs to meet partner requirements; manage tasks and guide junior engineers.
• Integrate hardware and software to satisfy DoD/IC regulations.
• Resolve complex network problems with analyzers and WAN test equipment.
