Cboe Global Markets, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Network and Firewall Security Engineer to secure and operate connectivity across our global offices and data centers.

This hands-on role requires deep expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, including design, deployment, migration, and ongoing policy optimization in complex enterprise environments. You will partner across infrastructure teams to ensure secure, highly available connectivity and mentor junior engineers while translating technical findings for

Qualifications

• 7+ years of network and security engineering experience across enterprise routing, switching, and firewall platforms.
• 5+ years hands-on with Palo Alto firewalls, including SSL decryption and Panorama management.
• Strong experience troubleshooting complex networks using routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and packet analysis.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, traffic flows, and structured problem solving in production.
• Knowledge of segmentation, zero-trust concepts, and secure architecture patterns.
• Experience leading firewall migrations and automation scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and migrate Palo Alto firewall solutions across global environments.
• Lead complex security and network integrations applying core networking principles.
• Collaborate with network, cloud, and infrastructure teams for secure connectivity.
• Serve as senior escalation point for advanced firewall and network troubleshooting.
• Support security operations and incident response for complex connectivity issues.
• Mentor engineers and NOC staff in troubleshooting and best practices.
• Prioritize work intake and communicate with technical stakeholders and leadership.
• Evaluate enhancements to security architecture and network design.
