Job summary

MUSC is seeking a System Engineer III, Firewalls, to support our Network Infrastructure and Security Engineering team in Charleston, SC.

You will administer firewall infrastructure, configure VPNs, manage IP addressing, and participate in SD-WAN and secure routing; guide complex troubleshooting and implement documentation.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network security, strong communication, and the ability to lead projects and mentor peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience; or HS diploma with 9+ years; or Master's with 3+ years.
• 7+ years of network experience preferred.
• Experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network security devices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for network security services and resolve complex technical issues.
• Lead documentation, processes, and educational plans to minimize disruption.
• Take a lead role in projects and mentor peers.
• Ensure timely resolution of network issues and maintain high professional standards.
