Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Master Network & Security Engineer to lead design, operation, and optimization of enterprise network-security infrastructure. The role focuses on Palo Alto NGFW environments, Panorama, HA designs, and zero-trust policy enforcement.

Collaboration with SOC, cloud, and leadership teams is essential. The position is fully remote within the United States, with responsibilities spanning enterprise firewalls, network segmentation, and security policy governance to

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or IT.
• 10+ years in network engineering or security operations.
• 5+ years with Palo Alto firewalls in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise firewall and network security.
• Manage Palo Alto Panorama deployment and policy management.
• Triage incidents and coordinate remediation with SOC and infra teams.
• Develop runbooks and architecture standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical initiatives.
• Plan HA, upgrades, and DR exercises.
