Job summary

Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a Network Operations Manager to lead network operations, configuration management, and troubleshooting across the campus LAN/WAN. You will supervise the network operations and helpdesk staff, drive professional development, and align services with University objectives.

This role partners with the Sr. Director of Information Technology to develop policies, oversee security controls, and guide modernization efforts across enterprise systems and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in network infrastructure or enterprise tech.
• Three years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies, wireless, routing, switching, firewalls, and security.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including 365, AD, Azure Entra, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Windows Server.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and operations simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring, and professional development for Network Operations and helpdesk staff.
• Lead design, implementation, monitoring, and support of the campus network infrastructure.
• Oversee security controls, vulnerability management, and incident response coordination.
• Manage service desk escalation processes and ensure quality IT service delivery.
• Develop and monitor SLOs, documentation, and knowledge resources.
