Job summary

Waymo is seeking an experienced leader for its Infrastructure & Network Services team in Mountain View. You will manage a high-performing group of engineers and vendor agents, drive incident response, and govern ITIL processes while overseeing deployment of critical security and networking infrastructure.

You will guide automation efforts, improve MTTR, and collaborate across business units to ensure resilient, scalable networking services in support of Waymo's mission to safely and sustainably

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network operations or engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a management or team lead role.
• Experience delivering strategic networks with high availability requirements.
• Proven track record of recruiting, hiring, and building technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of configuring network devices via CLI and cloud-hosted portals.
• Experience managing high-performance networks for large-scale data ingress/egress.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing, inclusive team of engineers and vendor agents.
• Own incident management for major service disruptions and PIRs.
• Oversee ITIL governance across incident, change, event, configuration, and asset management.
• Validate and implement MOPs for internal teams and partners; oversee deployment of critical infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership during network event analysis, design reviews, and upgrades.
• Drive automation and innovations to reduce MTTR and improve efficiency.
