Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking a senior leader to run its Network Operations function. You will manage a high-performing team, drive strategic plans, and own remediation during major incidents while advancing ITIL-compliant governance across network services.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate deployments, and push automations to reduce MTTR in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment. The role emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, and clear communication with technical and business

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network operations or engineering.
• 2+ years in a management or team lead role.
• Experience delivering high availability networks.
• Proven track record of recruiting and building technical teams.
• Strong knowledge configuring network devices via CLI and cloud portals.
• Experience with high-performance networks supporting large data flows.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience creating documentation, runbooks, and configuration management standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of engineers and vendor agents with strategic roadmaps.
• Act as Owner during major incidents and drive root-cause analysis and PIRs.
• Oversee ITIL governance across incident, change, event, configuration, and asset management.
• Validate MOPs and oversee deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership during complex network events and design reviews.
• Guide automation efforts to reduce toil and MTTR with cross-functional partners.
