Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks a Network Infrastructure Project Engineer II to plan, coordinate, and execute complex hardware integration efforts across multi-disciplinary teams. You will lead rack/stack design, cabling, power, cooling and ensure CM and ICDs are maintained, with customer liaison responsibilities and risk management.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer/Systems Engineering, 10+ years in engineering, and hands-on hardware experience; active Top Secret with SCI eligibility is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or closely related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or project lead role.
• Hands-on experience with physical hardware integration — servers, embedded systems, networking gear, lab infra.
• Experience creating and managing ICDs, integration procedures, test plans.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera or equivalent for scheduling and baselines.
• Experience with DOORS/Jama or similar for requirements management.
• Familiarity with CM processes and ECO/ECN control.
• Strong communication to brief technical content to engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets using EVM concepts.
• Lead hardware integration planning: rack/stack, cabling, power, cooling, interfaces.
• Define ICDs, integration procedures, test plans; support IRRs and verifications.
• Interface with customers as technical liaison; present status and risks.
• Prepare status reports with progress, risks, and mitigations; ensure traceability.
• Identify and resolve hardware integration issues; manage risk register.
