Job summary

Quantum Leap Research is seeking a Senior Network/Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, deployment, and lifecycle management of complex on-premise environments. You will guide multi-vendor networking, Linux-based routing, and infrastructure automation using Ansible.

The role emphasizes ownership of end-to-end projects, SDN-focused architectures, and integration with OpenSearch/Elastic stack in a fast-growing US government-focused tech environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive on-prem/datacenter network engineering experience
• Hands-on with Cisco, Arista, VyOS routing
• Strong Linux systems administration
• Experience with Ansible-based automation
• Familiar with OpenSearch/Elastic stack
• Multi-vendor infrastructure design and deployment
• Proxmox or virtualization experience
• Networking integrated with applications and systems

Responsibilities

• Design and implement datacenter and site network architectures (on-prem, SDN-focused)
• Configure and manage Cisco, Arista, VyOS networking equipment
• Build and maintain routing environments including Linux-based routing
• Deploy SDN, WAN/SD-WAN, BGP, MPLS, and VPN configurations
• Automate infrastructure using Ansible and related tools
• Maintain OpenSearch/Elastic stack and monitoring systems
• Create and maintain network documentation with NetBox
• Own projects end-to-end from scoping to delivery
• Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
