Job summary

Simplesense is seeking a Senior Network Development Engineer to design and implement software-driven network automation within our hybrid-cloud platform. You’ll build reusable tooling and workflows to provision, configure, validate, and sustain connectivity across customer environments.

Based in Denver area with hybrid work, travel quarterly. The role requires 5+ years in infra/automation, Linux expertise, and strong networking knowledge; DoD/federal contractor experience is a plus and

Qualifications

5+ years building infrastructure, automation, or platform engineering in complex environments.
Experience with automation tooling for infrastructure or networks, Git, CI/CD, scripting, testing, and code reviews.
Strong Linux hands-on experience, configuration management, and scripting.
Networking knowledge including segmentation, VPNs, firewalls, and secure connectivity.
Travel quarterly for program management reviews.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of reusable network automation tooling.
Develop automation for Linux systems and network appliances.
Create scalable workflows for onboarding, provisioning, validation, and sustainment across customer environments.
Apply zero-trust principles in automation and network patterns.
Produce design documentation and operational handoff materials.
Mentor junior engineers through code and design reviews.
Collaborate with Connectivity and engineering teams on workflows.
