Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks a Senior Network Engineer to deliver comprehensive network consultative services across district WAN/LAN environments. You will lead design, security, and operational guidance for Information Systems, supporting the network operations team and other districts personnel.

The role requires extensive LAN/WAN experience, CCNA/Network+ credentials, and a strong ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams; travel within the district is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience with LANs, WLANs and WANs including TCP/IP, VOIP, and wiring, with three (3) years on firewalls.
• CCNA in Routing and Switching, Network+ certification, or another network coursework.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must meet insurability requirements and demonstrate advanced problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others; frequent intra-district travel.

Responsibilities

• Install and manage LAN/WAN networks across the district.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and routers for the district WAN.
• Analyze utilization, security, and performance issues in district networks.
• Manage network installation projects and coordinate with departments.
• Test, implement, configure, and maintain district VPNs and management tools.
• Establish district-wide networking standards and evaluate new solutions.
