Qualifications
- Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university majoring in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field.
- Four years of experience in the design, installation and maintenance of network communications including LAN/WAN systems.
- A Cisco CCNA certification may be substituted for one year of education or experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the planning, design, procurement, installation, and performance of LAN/WAN configuration and related hardware and software.
- Supervises voice communication system hardware and software.
- Troubleshoots and resolves WAN and voice issues and anticipates future problems.
- Monitors technology and security risks and notifies supervisor as warranted.
- Leads planning and maintenance of Windows client/server hardware and software.
- Manages unit budget and assists in section budgeting.
- Oversees maintenance and support for voice and data network hardware and software.
- Coordinates with vendors and technical staff to resolve problems.
- Monitors project milestones and deliverables.
