Job summary

The Richland County School District One in South Carolina is seeking a Network Engineer to support the district's mission critical infrastructure, network services, and application pathways.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in WAN/LAN, CCNA/Network+ preferred, and strong communication to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years WAN/LAN, switching and routing experience.
  • CCNA and/or CompTIA Network+ certifications preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with DHCP/DNS and VoIP (Yealink preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide routing and switching services and Wi‑Fi services.
  • Configure network devices and monitor network performance.
  • Document network topology and support telephony.
  • Assist with project management and security procedures.
