Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced and fully cleared Network Engineer to join our Chantilly, VA team. The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting of network appliances, ensuring uptime, performance, and security, with frequent travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

You will collaborate with the Chief Engineer, document network standards, manage IP addressing, and support LAN/WAN networks across CONUS/OCONUS environments. A TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 6+ years; Doctorate may reduce experience needs.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly is required.
• CCNA or equivalent basic certification is required.
• Strong understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco appliances.
• Experience with routing and switching and routing protocols.
• Experience scripting for Cisco devices.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and climb 30 ft.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Monitor LAN & WAN infrastructure and provide regular reporting.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer to optimize network performance and complete tasks.
• Ensure network uptime, performance, and security.
• Document and enforce network standards; manage IP addressing schema.
• Travel ConUS/OCONUS as needed (up to 50%).
• Maintain network lab in Chantilly, VA.
