Job summary

Leidos in Chantilly, VA is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our onsite team. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls, monitor LAN/WAN, and ensure network uptime, performance, and security while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Required: hands‑on Cisco routing and switching, CCNA, OSI/TCP/IP knowledge, and willingness to travel up to 50% OCONUS.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s with at least 6 years in network engineering.
Active TS/SCI With Poly is required to be considered.
Active/current CCNA certification and hands-on Cisco devices experience.
Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP models and network analytics.
Experience with configuring/troubleshooting Cisco devices and routing protocols.
Ability to work well individually and in cross-functional teams; strong communication.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb 30 ft.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances (routers, switches, and firewalls).
Monitor LAN & WAN and provide regular reporting.
Collaborate with Chief Engineer to optimize the network and complete tasks.
Ensure network uptime, performance, and security.
Document and enforce network standards.
Manage and maintain IP addressing schema.
Travel OCONUS as needed - 50% travel.
Maintain network lab in Chantilly, VA.
