Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to build, integrate, and maintain the flight network for the Blue Ring (I-SS) Mission Operations Center. You will craft automation around network design, deployment, and operations across multiple sites, applying DevOps practices to ensure safe, reliable spaceflight.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years of experience, and strong Python/Go/C++ skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer/electrical engineering, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
8+ years architecting, developing, and deploying scalable network infrastructure.
Experience with multi‑vendor network device installation, configuration, and monitoring.
Understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS; routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, IS-IS; network services DHCP, DNS, NTP.
Experience coding in Python, Go, Rust, C++, or similar languages.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to earn trust and work inclusively.

Responsibilities

Establish and implement standardized network design practices across In‑Space‑Systems sites.
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and tools for network design, deployment, and operations.
Develop, secure, and maintain network equipment to support mission operations.
Monitor network performance and health dashboards; perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues.
Support network capacity planning and lifecycle management across environments.
