Job summary

D2 Technical Services is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take CI Polygraph to support intelligence customer activities in Springfield, VA.

You will lead O&M, deployment, and design within strict change management and performance frameworks. The role requires SME-level knowledge of data center networking, dynamic routing, and network diagnostics, plus strong communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and project teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience preferred in data center networking
• SME level understanding of OSPF/BGP routing
• Familiarity with EVPN, VXLAN, Cisco vPC, ACI, F5 load balancing, RSTP
• Knowledge of TCP/UDP application flow and network diagnostics
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs and SD-WAN
• Experience documenting network architectures with Visio
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage projects from start to finish

Responsibilities

• Support Data Center network, application delivery, and security environments (O&M, deployment, design)
• Provide Tier III SME level incident management support
• Deploy or enhance IT solutions with project stakeholders
• Coordinate with staff for solution development and deployment
• Collaborate to ensure solutions meet technical goals and timelines
• Evaluate new network technologies and provide recommendations
• Develop and implement LAN/WAN analysis and testing methodologies
• Diagnose hardware/software issues and replace faulty components
• Maintain network configurations and integrate with performance/availability framework
• Prepare proposals for engineering review boards
• Conduct upgrades per network architecture
• Review change requests for impact on performance
• Work with external teams for problem resolution
• Prepare troubleshooting procedures and SOPs
• Provide fault and performance management
