Job summary

D2 Technical Services is seeking a senior network engineer to support our customers' Data Center networks, application delivery, and security environments in a TS/SCI environment. You will perform tier III SME support, deploy IT solutions, and coordinate with project staff to meet milestones.

You will work with system engineers across disciplines, evaluate new technologies, develop SOPs, and lead troubleshooting and change management activities to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 10 years of data center networking experience preferred.
• SME level understanding of OSPF and BGP.
• Familiarity with EVPN, VXLAN, Cisco vPC, ACI, and F5 load balancing is a plus.
• Experience with TCP/UDP traffic analysis and network diagnostic tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Data Center network, application delivery, and security environments (O&M, deployment, solution development).
• Provide tier III SME level support within incident management processes.
• Work with project stakeholders to deploy or enhance IT solutions.
• Coordinate with project staff to manage solution development within technical area.
• Collaborate with system engineers to ensure solutions meet goals and timelines.
• Evaluate new network technologies and integration into current network.
• Develop and implement LAN/WAN analysis, testing, and support methodologies.
• Diagnose hardware/software problems and replace defective components.
• Interface with external tier 4 support and vendors for problem resolution.
