Job summary

D2 Consulting is seeking a New Senior Network Engineer in St. Louis, MO. Active TS/SCI clearance required; CI Polygraph may be required for our intelligence customer. The role focuses on data center networking, security, and deployment across complex environments.

Responsibilities include tier III SME support, system changes, and collaboration with engineers to meet technical goals. Strong communication and initiative are essential for success in this customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience preferred with data center networking focus.
• SME level understanding of OSPF and BGP routing.
• Experience with EVPN, VXLAN, Cisco vPC, ACI, F5 load balancing and RSTP.
• Experience analyzing TCP/UDP application flow with analyzers and diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with DOD STIGs and SD-WAN, MS Visio for network docs.

Responsibilities

• Support data center network, application delivery and security environments (O&M, deployment, design).
• Provide tier III SME support within incident management.
• Collaborate with project staff to deploy or enhance IT solutions.
• Evaluate new network technologies and propose integration plans.
• Prepare technical proposals for engineering reviews and SOPs.
• Perform long-term O&M and tier 3 troubleshooting; interface with vendors.
