Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Network Engineer Tier 2 in El Segundo, CA to support an Intelligence Community customer's CAN/LAN/WAN infrastructure, including design, deployment, and issue resolution.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly, DoD 8140.01/8570.01-M IAT II, and 5+ years of related experience; experience with large-scale enterprise networks; and ability to implement security and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• TS/SCI w/ poly is required.
• DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M, IAT II required.

Responsibilities

• Provide problem identification, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents and problems.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to the company management and customer.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
• Supports hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design.
• Provide transition planning and support services that accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk and ensure service continuity during transition.
• Provide transition planning and support for the migration of existing services between environments (migration to Cloud environments)
• Works individually and actively participates on integrated teams
• Understands and applies more advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
• Assists more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities.
