Leidos in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Network Engineer SME to lead architecture, installation, and management of enterprise networks spanning on-premises and cloud resources. You will ensure performance, patching, and continuity while aligning with SLAs and program goals.

The role requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph, deep Cisco/Nexus expertise, and strong scripting capabilities across Windows and Unix environments, plus SAFe Agile experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Doctorate with 13+ years; substitution allowed.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Expert technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
• Expert in goals and plans meeting project objectives.
• Domain and expert technical knowledge.
• Experience directing activities for a client with financial management and staffing.
• Experience interfacing with senior management and clients on requirements.
• Experience with Cloud technologies AWS.
• Expert with Cisco/Nexus architecture and enterprise-level networking hardware.
• Experience scripting in shell, python, Perl.
• Experience installing security patches on servers.
• Documentation for SOPs.
• Experience supporting Windows and Unix.
• Ability to analyze hardware/software from vendors and recommend purchases.
• ITIL experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco Enterprise environments.
• Experience with IP, routing and connection services.
• Experience with SAFe Agile Framework.

Responsibilities

• Architecture, design, installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of networks including hardware and cloud resources.
• Update to new technologies, tune performance, and prioritize critical patches.
• Infrastructure includes on-premises and cloud resources.
