Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain complex network solutions across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments in the Washington, DC area. The role requires independent problem-solving, collaboration with cybersecurity teams, and leadership in network architecture and ongoing improvements.
The candidate will guide engineers, manage changes, and ensure high availability and secure connectivity for mission-critical infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of network engineering experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of enterprise routing and switching.
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms in multi-vendor environments.
- Designing/hybrid cloud connectivity with AWS.
- Must have or obtain Public Trust clearance; US citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical and escalation resource for complex network issues.
- Lead design and implementation of complex network infrastructure across distributed environments.
- Analyze technical challenges and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and security.
- Design and troubleshoot enterprise routing, switching, and VPN infrastructure.
- Engineer and maintain hybrid cloud connectivity with AWS services (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to network architecture and standards.
