Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, analyze, and implement network components for customer communication initiatives across multiple sites.

The role includes SDWAN design, testing, cost studies, and remote site evaluations to optimize performance, resiliency, and security. You will work on cloud-network design and administration for both physical and virtual environments, supporting a heterogeneous tech stack and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent; 4+ years industry experience or certifications.
• 4+ years in SDWAN architecture design, deployments and support.
• Network engineering certs such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE or equivalent.
• 4+ years in network engineering and 3+ years in project leadership.
• 4+ years WAN/L2-L3 design (WAN/Cloud/DC) and engineering.
• 4+ years with BGP and WAN techs.
• Experience with large-scale environments and remote sites.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Experience in SDWAN overlay technologies.
• Knowledge of QoS and network security functions.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, plan, and modify network components for customer communication implementations.
• Develop and evaluate remote site solutions across Humana and subsidiaries.
• Perform SDWAN design, testing, feasibility and cost studies, and establish network activity sequences.
• Lead moderately complex to highly complex technical projects independently.
• Provide cloud network design, engineering, and admin support for physical and virtual devices in multi-platform environments.
