Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, analyze, plan, and modify network components supporting customer communication initiatives across Humana and its subsidiaries.

The role focuses on SD-WAN design, testing, capacity planning, and the delivery of multi-platform connectivity for remote sites. You will lead complex WAN/LAN projects, work with Cisco, Palo Alto, and other vendors, and coordinate across teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in technical or scientific field; or 4+ years industry experience plus certifications.
• 4+ years experience with SDWAN architecture designs, implementations, and support.
• Network certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
• 4+ years technical network engineering experience and 3+ years of project leadership.
• 4+ years of Layer 2/3 WAN/Cloud/Data Center design and engineering.
• 4+ years with BGP and WAN technologies.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Experience in SDWAN overlay technologies.
• Knowledge of QoS and network security functions (firewalls, VPN, IPS, etc).
• Ability to manage complex multi-organizational projects.
• Experience with SDN environments from Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Meraki, etc.
• Vendor management skills for hardware/software security vendors and third parties.
• Experience with Data Center Colocation facilities and virtual network fabrics (Equinix/Mega-Port).
• Pass eQIP background check; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, plan and modify network components for Humana's remote sites.
• Develop SDWAN solutions, conduct testing, feasibility and cost studies.
• Provide cloud network design and admin support for physical and virtual devices.
• Lead multi-platform network connectivity projects across environments.
• Participate in on-call and implementation duties during nights and weekends.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure resilient networks.
