Job summary

BranCore Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to implement and support the agency’s IT Network infrastructure in the Richmond, VA area. This role focuses on documenting, researching, and implementing network-related infrastructure with emphasis on enterprise routers, switches, VPNs, and security appliances.

The candidate must have hands-on experience, a strong networking background, and an industry certification (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA).

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and wireless APs.
Experience designing, installing and troubleshooting local-area and wide-area networks.
Ability to document network topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls.

Responsibilities

Configure, upgrade, manage and troubleshoot routers/switches and WAPs.
Troubleshoot network infrastructure and diagnose system problems with diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with IT suppliers and stakeholders to gather accurate requirements and configurations.
Assist in overseeing installation, documentation, and upgrades of data network infrastructure.
Collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SD-WAN.
