Job summary

Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to lead design, integration, and escalation for hybrid on-prem/multi-cloud environments. You will drive cross-domain implementations, optimize automation, and ensure scalable, secure network services for employees, partners and customers in a 24x7 setting.

The role emphasizes senior technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and collaboration across Security, Platform, and Telecom teams while advancing architectural patterns

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• One or more advanced professional networking/cloud certifications as listed in Education.
• 8+ years of progressive network engineering experience in medium-large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on automation experience with infrastructure-as-code and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and optimize complex hybrid (on-prem / multi-cloud) network topologies for performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop reusable network automation playbooks and IaC templates to standardize provisioning.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and post-incident reviews for high severity issues.
• Coordinate with Security, Platform, Storage, Application and Telecom teams to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Provide technical input to capacity modeling and roadmap planning.
• Mentor Network Engineers and drive knowledge transfer on cloud and automation patterns.
