Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Senior Network Engineer in Atlanta to ensure stability, security, and performance of enterprise network infrastructure across 300+ remote sites and data centers.

You will design, maintain, and optimize critical network services while collaborating with infrastructure, application, and security teams to drive operational excellence and network resiliency.

This role requires hands-on experience with Meraki, Aruba, Cisco, SolarWinds, and strong vendor and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering for enterprise environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, and security.
• Hands-on with Meraki MX, Aruba gear, Aruba Central, Aruba ClearPass, and Cisco Catalyst.
• Experience with DHCP, DNS, IPSec VPNs, BGP, and WAN connectivity.
• Experience performing upgrades, lifecycle management, and patching.
• Experience using SolarWinds NPM/NCM and PCAP analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Jira, ServiceNow.
• Strong customer service mindset; able to work with multiple projects.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and secure enterprise network infrastructure and devices.
• Ensure maximum availability and performance of network services.
• Manage resources and connectivity across remote locations and data centers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues with root-cause analysis.
• Partner with teams to support DR strategies and network resiliency.
• Drive operational excellence and ensure compliance with SLAs/OLAs.
• Support technology alignment initiatives and modernization of network services.
• Evaluate and implement continuous process improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Build strong relationships across business and tech teams.
• Manage vendor/service provider relationships.
