Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead design and deployment of enterprise networking across rack/stack builds, focusing on routing, switching, and security. You will architect multi-site networks using OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, integrate with VMware NSX, and ensure DISA RMF compliance.

The role requires CCNP, experience with Catalyst/Nexus/ASR, and TS/SCI eligibility preferred. This contract position is fully remote with responsibilities spanning documentation,

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering with depth across routing, switching, and network security.
• Active CCNP certification required; CCIE a strong plus.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and ASR products and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Familiarity with DISA STIG and RMF applied to network infra; TS/SCI eligible preferred.
• DoD/IC environment experience and DoD 8570/8140 IAT II/III certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of all networking components for rack and stack builds across core, distribution, and access layers.
• Architect and implement routing solutions across multi-site environments using OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Configure and manage Cisco switching infrastructure including VLANs, spanning tree, port channels, and QoS.
• Integrate network infra with VMware NSX and virtualized environments with infrastructure team.
• Design and enforce network segmentation to meet DISA STIG and RMF requirements.
• Act as SME, providing technical leadership to junior engineers and technicians.
• Support ATO processes by producing network architecture docs, data flow diagrams, and baselines.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues across switching, routing, and security layers.
• Evaluate network technologies aligned with program requirements and government standards.
• Maintain accurate network docs including topology, IPAM, and change records.
