Job summary

Astreya Partners, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer III in Boulder, CO to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. You will work independently on complex routing, switching, and security tasks, coordinating with ISPs and vendors to ensure uptime and performance.

The role requires a BS degree and 5–8 years of related experience, with deep knowledge of CDN concepts and the ability to troubleshoot across WAN/LAN, data centers, and cloud integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5–8 years of related experience or equivalent
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, servers, AD, DNS, VPN, and security
• Familiarity with CDNs and internet peering strategies

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain network hosts and services (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints)
• Perform network maintenance and upgrades, including off-hours as needed
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages
• Participate in global production and corporate network (edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, CDN)
• Independently manage vendor switches and hardware/software issues
• Handle traffic and queries raised by ISPs/Partners
• Manage incidents (input errors, CRC, RMA) and coordinate with ISPs/vendors
• Other duties as required

What this Job Entails:

The Network Engineer III is a focal point for all internal and external orders required to maintain the network. This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to details. Scope: Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of their speciality Works on problems of a diverse scope Receives little instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignments

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain various network hosts and services like routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints
• Perform network maintenances/upgrades (often during normal working hours, but sometimes during the evening or weekend)
• Troubleshooting network issues and outages
• Participate in global production and corporate network including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure
• Independently manage multiple vendor switch on various servers in dealing with hardware/software issues
• Handle traffic, and any queries raised by ISP/Partners
• Manage all incidents such as input errors, CRC, RMA etc.
• Work directly with ISP/Vendors on fixing any issues related to network
• Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Have a full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, active directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines and software applications
• Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies
• Understanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity

Salary Range:

$40.92 - $64.62 USD (Hourly) Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit. Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position. Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
