Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting, Inc is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to oversee network infrastructure and security in Alexandria, VA. This position requires 7+ years of experience, proficiency in network protocols, and experience with Juniper equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring network performance, implementing security measures, and providing technical support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Network Engineering experience required.
• Must obtain a Juniper cert within 6 months of employment.
• Knowledge of Junos OS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructures.
• Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Administer and maintain user accounts and permissions.

Skills

Network Engineering experience

TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF understanding

Experience with firewalls, IDS, IPS

Strong communication skills

Education

Degree in computer science or IT related discipline

Tools

Juniper routers (MX), switches (EX), firewalls (SRX)
