Job summary

Tuvli is seeking a Network Engineer SME for a government client in Alexandria, VA. This role focuses on stable operation, performance, and security of enterprise networks including LAN, WAN, and VPNs, with Juniper devices and firewall policies.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining routers, switches, SRX/MX devices, monitoring performance with SolarWinds, and ensuring compliance with security controls. Hybrid schedule; eligible for Top Secret upgrade.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related IT field preferred.
• Certification in Juniper CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or Cisco equivalents preferred.
• Experience with Juniper solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable operation and performance of data networks (LAN/WAN/VPN).
• Monitor and manage network hardware including routers, switches, and encryptors.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures (LAN/WAN/VPN).
• Implement and manage security measures (firewalls, access controls, IPS/IDS).
• Develop network documentation and topology diagrams.
• Interact with vendors and contractors for equipment and services.
• Provide on-call support as needed.
