Qualifications

• Plans, designs, implements, and maintains network hardware/software for LAN/WAN, firewall, remote access, VPN, and wireless.
• Leads major data network projects and reports status to staff and management with PM input.
• Creates security policies for network equipment (firewall, Internet/Extranet, remote access) and implements solutions.
• Schedules and prioritizes Network Engineers' work; provides technical coaching to junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, implements, and maintains network hardware/software for LAN/WAN, firewall, remote access, VPN, and wireless.
• Leads major data network projects and reports status to staff and management with PM input.
• Creates security policies for network equipment and implements solutions.
• Schedules and prioritizes Network Engineers' work; provides coaching to junior staff.
• Designs and implements network management systems; recommends troubleshooting strategies.
• Researches and evaluates emerging technologies; coordinates hardware/software selection and implementation.
• Ensures documentation and assists budgeting and cost/benefit analyses for network enhancements.
