Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital seeks a seasoned Network Engineer to oversee, coordinate, and communicate all data network activities including LAN/WAN, remote access, VPN, and security. The role leads major projects, drafts security policies, and ensures accurate documentation. You will mentor junior staff, design network management systems, and evaluate new technologies.

A technical degree is required, with healthcare experience preferred. On-site role in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in LAN/WAN technologies.
• 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Technical degree in associated area or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, implements, and maintains network systems for LAN/WAN, firewall, remote access, VPN, and wireless.
• Leads major data network projects and provides status updates to staff and management.
• Creates security policies for network equipment and remote access.
• Recommends and implements solutions to proactively manage network equipment.
• Schedules and prioritizes work activities of Network Engineers.
• Provides technical coaching and training to junior staff.
